This isn't the Doctor you know and love. This Doctor has chosen to defy the Ood, ignoring their call and choosing his own path. He's chosen not to die, not to keep on as he has. Instead, he's choosing to embrace his birthright. He is the Time Lord Victorious, he chooses who lives and who dies, no matter the cost. He is throwing out his own rule book and writing a new one and nobody should get in his way or there will be hell to pay.
